Energy Efficiency Technical Training & Hands-On Internship
Looking for a green job in the clean energy industry but keep hearing that you need more technical training and/or hands-on experience?? Then this might be the program for you!!
Become a part of the emerging Green Collar Economy; learn to guide small businesses towards the “double green” benefits of energy cost savings and a reduced carbon footprint through this hands-on small business energy efficiency campaign.
Program Overview:
Envirolution’s Win-Win Campaign is a neighborhood based, energy efficiency focused green economic development program. Win-Win provides energy efficiency outreach, education and implementation assistance to small businesses while simultaneously providing real world, hands on job training for a broad range of green job seekers.
The green jobs training portion of the campaign is comprised of two, interwoven components:
1. Clean Energy Analyst (CEA)Training Program (Primarily in-Class — 60 Hours of Training)
2. Community Energy Consultant (CEC) Internship Program (Primarily in the Field — Conduct 5 Energy Audits)
Through this innovative program that combines classroom training, mentoring and fieldwork, participating interns become Community Energy Consultants (CECs). Working alongside energy efficiency professionals, CECs provide free preliminary energy efficiency assessments and incentive qualification guidance for small businesses and other institutions in their neighborhoods. CECs are responsible for performing at least five energy assessments of local small businesses and reporting back to the business owners with an individualized Energy Action Plan. Participating interns will gain invaluable, real world, hands-on job training and establish concrete energy auditing and project management skills.

This 60-Hour course blends technical training on building performance, energy auditing and weatherization, with broader green training related to sustainability, green business and social entrepreneurship.
